My personal opinion, I've started a similar concept before for a multiplayer campaign and wasn't terribly impressed. Someone from the CUP Team plans to convert Take On Helicopters maps including Seattle but depending on the scope, they have their work cut out for them - there's a lot of quality of life improvements that could be made to make it usable from a ground perspective ranging from simple to complex.Įxcluding private maps for Life communities, that's about it as far as I know. Opteryx has been planning a North American map for awhile and has been working on buildings for the last two years but that's probably a ways out. IceBreakr has been working on a map called Keystone USA but it's not part of the next three maps he plans to release beta versions of. Not much in the way of urban or suburban enviorment there. There's Caribou Frontier which represents a fictional Alaskan island. There's Minihattan Island which is almost all skyscrapers without any suburban sprawl. There's Ryderwood Island which I haven't tried and have no opinon on. There's Ergon County which I haven't tried and have no opinon on. There's New York City, USA which I haven't tried and have no opinon on. There's Winter Town which is very small and uses low quality buildings without interiors ripped from Battlefield 2.
There's Variable's Florida Keys although I'm not a fan of it's layout.
Nails the general aesthetics of where I grew up in Southern California. There's Santa Catalina Island which is relatively small in size and doesn't have many enterable buildings.
